Our Story

We’re proud to come from San Marcos Tecomaxusco, a small town in the State of Mexico where community means everything. It’s a place where neighbors look out for each other, where meals are shared, and where the warmth of a handshake or a smile can say more than words ever could. Those values—of generosity, hard work, and connection—are the foundation of who we are and what we do. When we started El Amiguito in 2019, it wasn’t just about opening a food business. It was about bringing a piece of home with us and sharing that feeling with every person we served.

The name “El Amiguito” wasn’t chosen at random. It was a nickname people gave me growing up—maybe because I was always the one helping out, offering a hand, or cracking a joke to make someone’s day a little better. That name stuck, and over time, it became more than a nickname—it became a reminder of what I stand for and what I want this business to represent. Today, El Amiguito is more than just a taco stand or a food truck—it’s a space built on kindness, inclusion, and love for great food. Our mission is to share our tacos with the world, prepared with care, rooted in tradition, and served with heart. We want every customer to walk away not just full, but feeling like they’re part of something—like they’re family.

Our Ingredients

We proudly work with local vendors and suppliers to source the freshest meats, vegetables, tortillas, and spices that go into every taco we serve. Our food is human—from the farmers who grow our produce and raise our meats, to the cooks who season, grill, and prepare each bite with care and pride. Every ingredient tells a story of tradition, hard work, and love—and we’re honored to share that with you.
